This engineered oak species is very durable. It's longevity as species stands the test of time. Hand scraped White Oak's beautiful growth rings run the length of each plank and will only see moderate color changes over time. It is essentially a straight-grained wood with a medium to coarse texture and longer rays than its close cousin Red Oak. The sapwood of this White Oak is almost white, while the heartwood is grayish brown.
