                                                           Supercore Stair Nose Installation

All steps must be properly prepared and may require removing existing bullnose from the tread.  Cut off the existing nosing off if necessary.
Setting the stairnose first is mandatory.

Box Treads - Treads that are closed in on both sides
1. Dry fit your stair nose cut to ensure proper fit.  Most nosing profiles fit flush with the plank, however; you may need to trim or modify both components for a tight fit.
2. Set stairnose first.  Adhere with a couple of predrilled holes and countersunk screws. Use in combination with 100% silicone.  Cover screw heads with blending wood filler of your choice.
3. Backfill the remainder of the step surface with a plank of flooring. Cut to fit.
4. Remove most of the underlayment backing of a plank and use 100% silicone to bond to the substrate.
5. Optional, use a plank for the riser by using the same method for bonding.

Side Return Treads - Treads with one or both sides exposed
1. Dry fit your cuts to ensure proper fit.  Miter cut a return section for the exposed side.
Cut to fit.
